A collaboration between The University of Manchester, Edinburgh University, Essex University, Lancaster University and Leeds University with Fellowships based at Cardiff University, Queens University Belfast and The University of Salford
Sustainable Communities, Social Enterprise and Local Food
Overview
Using a combination of ethnographic research and semi-structured interviews, this fellowship will focus on how a local food network, a democratically owned and run social enterprise in Stroud, has been able to change the day-to-day food consumption practices, habits and knowledges of its membership. A case of meso-level reorganisation, attention will be paid to how an emphasis on member participation and community building can aid sustainable behaviour change.
